MEMBER APPLICATION
Thank you for submitting an application for membership to the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA). The membership committee will review your application and you will be contacted with further details. This may take up to 3 weeks, as we vet all applications thoroughly. Since we do not require sponsors who can personally vouch for applicants, the essay "Please tell us about yourself" is important for the membership committee to get to know about you and your business - it supplements the information on your website, your listings and other information online. Also, be sure to give us the URL (website address) of each of your online selling locations.

QUESTIONS
The IOBA New Member requirements state that you must have a minimum online inventory of 200 books, that at least 90% of books offered must be currently in stock, and that the range of pricing and the quality of your inventory should indicate your commitment to professionalism as a bookseller. There is some flexibility in these three standards. If you don't quite meet them, please explain why this business model works for you, or how you intend to meet the standards in the near future.
Most booksellers offer other dealers reciprocal discounts of 10 to 20%. Please state your dealer discount terms and any special conditions that may apply.
Please tell us about yourself. How did you learn the trade, what are your strengths and weaknesses, how has your business model changed over the years, what are your goals, what other bookselling organizations do you belong to, and why did you choose IOBA? (minimum 200 words).
